NovaGreens™ goes into the TMR you already feed. The published result is a 4–7% gain in feed efficiency at 10% of ration dry matter. Milk yield, butterfat and protein are measured herd by herd — against paired controls, on your farm.
The published gain came from lower intake at unchanged milk yield. We say so up front, because your nutritionist will find it in a day — and because "same milk, less feed" is the whole point of feed efficiency.
Every dairy trial declares its endpoints before the first feeding. You see the protocol, the randomization by parity and days-in-milk, and the statistician's model before a single cow is enrolled.
| Endpoint | How it's measured | Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| Dry matter intake | Pen-level feed weigh-backs | Daily |
| Milk yield | Parlor meters / DHIA | Daily / weekly |
| Butterfat & protein % | DHIA component testing | Weekly |
| Energy-corrected feed efficiency | ECM ÷ DMI | Weekly |
| Milk nitrogen efficiency | Milk N ÷ N intake | Bi-weekly |
| Somatic cell count & body condition | DHIA SCC; BCS scoring | Weekly / bi-weekly |
| Income over feed cost | Your milk price, your ration cost | Final report |

It is an energy and forage-extension ingredient with moderate, highly degradable protein. It displaces a portion of grain energy — it is not a protein source and we don't sell it as one.
A palatable, rumen-available energy top-up when intake is the constraint. Fed at 2–3 lb/day through the close-up and fresh pens.
At 10% of ration DM the published feed-efficiency gain was measured in mid-lactation Holsteins. The high group is where the trial usually runs.
Certified-organic supply path in development. With organic corn prices doubling inside a year, a consistent sprouted-grain energy source is a supply-security decision as much as a nutrition one.
Research in young ruminants shows sprouted barley increased rumen papillae height, width and surface area. A calf-starter formulation is in trial design now.
Bulk, 2,000 lb tote or 50 lb bag. Dried product mixes into the TMR like any dry ingredient — no special handling.
We supply the independent lab panel and the trial data. Ration balancing is theirs. NovaGreens™ is added to a balanced ration — never in place of one.
Fifty treatment cows and fifty paired controls in the same pen system, randomized by parity and days-in-milk after a 14-day baseline. NovaGreens™ fed at 2–4 lb/cow/day in the TMR for 45–90 days. Weekly DHIA milk and components, feed weigh-backs, SCC and body condition. Independent nutritionist oversight, veterinary sign-off and a statistician's report you keep. Product supplied at trial pricing.
Herd size, current TMR, milk price and components. That's enough for us to size the product, quote per cow per day and draft the protocol for your nutritionist to mark up.
